Me

About me… Not Just another Stepford Wife!
Thirty-something, silly-looking and oh-so-happy to be alive! i have two amazing sons and the most amazing Mister that a girl could ever have! My house is always a mess because the chores often get forgotten in favor of crafting. i am an Artsy-crafty stay at home mom by profession. I love making all manner of lovely things, like fancy-schmancy toiletries, and silly stuffed creatures, and funky art-dolls. I love to play with paper and glue and scissors. I love to use old and unloved thrifted textiles to make new things like aprons, skirts and bags…recycling and re-envisoning old things makes me so happy! i love to grow herbs and flowers and veggies in my weedy little garden. Violets, peonies and roses are my favorite flowers. Spring and Fall are my favorite times of year, and my favorite colours are pink and black. Chocolate and wine are absolutely essential to my happiness and well being. I hate to cook but love to bake. I think vintage aprons and linens are the coolest things in the world. i like to read all kinds of books. I love spooky stuff and horror movies…it balances out my pink flowery side! i think Martha Stewart is WAY cooler for having spent some time in the clink. I want to be a Domestic Goddess when i grow up, but i am starting to think maybe i am not ever GOING to grow up.

I am writing on behalf of Faith and Form magazine to request permission to reprint either of the photos of your Guadalupe skirt which we found on your website.
This quarterly magazine (www.faithandform.com) has a small national audience, consisting of architects, pastors, and artists involved in the design/building/renovation of worship spaces.
The fall issue will include an article on Our Lady of Guadalupe, illustrated with a number of photos of this iconic image within worship spaces and out in the world. The article is being written by Judith Dupre who is a bestselling book author (www.judithdupre.com).
The magazine is not for profit, and there is no pay for articles or illustrations but we do offer a credit line and three copies of the magazine.
Please let me know if you would consider allowing either of these photos to be printed.
    Thank you for your consideration.

WOW!!!!! Love your buttons and bones style… I think you are very cool.
I made clay bones and they hang on my wall. Bones and skeltons are cool. Its very refreshing to see your art. I like the dead ladies. keep getting your art out there in this world to keep the mundane from overcoming all of us.
